We used Brain Pop and Brain Pop Jr. at science stations. Brain Pop Jr. was a very useful tool to help build background knowledge especially with our ESL learners. When the students viewed the videos, they used the closed caption feature so they could see the words as well as watch the movie about the science concept. After each movie they took the online quiz. We charted the scores to monitor their progress.

Students with stronger language acquisition benefitted from the materials in Brain Pop to strengthen their science content and vocabulary development.
Here is a ppt with tips on Brain Pop tools that you will want to use with your students.
